A Very Overdue Update.

Dear Readers,

Recently I have been very busy at college and haven’t had time to write much or at all for my blog. However, during this time, I have read a few books and am very excited to finally get to review them. Currently I am reading Troll Magic by J. M. Ney-Grimm and am really enjoying it. You will find that most of the books I review are books I enjoy. My goal for this blog is not really to criticize books (although that will happen every now and then) but to get people to read them. I read a lot of amazing self-published fairy tale retellings and want the world to know more about them. It is possible that more people read these books and I am just not aware of it but even if that is the case, I want to still encourage readers to read them, nonetheless. Some upcoming reviews that can be expected soon are Princess of Secrets and Princess of Mermaids by A. G. Marshall, Arabella and the Enchanted Prince by Chelsey Noelle, Rose Bound Magic by Caitlin Crowe, The Beast and the Enchantress by Camille Peters, and Beast of the Night by E. E. Rawls. I hope to all those who read my blog that you will enjoy them and be encouraged to read them too. Until next time.

Arabella and the Cursed by Prince by Chelsey Noelle Review

As college has kept me busy for a long time I haven’t had as much time to read as I would like. Frustrated at my lack of progress I complained to  roommate who suggested I read shorter books instead of the six-hundred-page book I was attempting. I tho ught this was a good idea since I was causing myself a lot of unnecessary and unwanted stress over  this problem.   And so, I picked up Arabella and the Cursed by Prince by Chelsey Noelle which was  191 pages long. Perhaps I should have started with the first book in the series The Frog Duke but since Beauty and the Beast is  one of my two favorite fairy  tales,  I chose this one instead. Either way it seems that  both books  can be read in any  order,  so it doesn’t really matter.    Arabella and the cursed prince  introduces  the reader to prince  Levenworth  who is a horrible   child born to two  benevolent  and kind  parents....

The Glass Gate: A Cinderella Retelling by Hanna Sanvig Review

Hanna Sandvig has quickly become one of my favorite authors with her Faerie Tale Romance series. Her first book The Rose Gate is a great modern take on the classic fairy tale Beauty and the Beast. Her most recent release The Glass Gate is a fantastic retelling of Cinderella filled with fashion, fake courtships, an evil king who must be stopped, a tiny dragon and of course true love. The Glass Gate begins with a young Fae Prince Tiernan (future king of the Seelie Kingdom) making a deathbed vow to his dying mother that he will find a bride by his 200th birthday. If he fails to do so his father King Fiachra will choose a wife for him instead. Since his promise is a magically binding one Tiernan must obey or suffer the consequences.
